In 2008 greenmoneytree was started by KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) student Matz-Ola öhrn in Stockholm, Sweden. The idea was to create startup point for those that wish to go green without financial risk. Since then we have had great fun in helping companies and meeting new people along the way.

Since our start in 2008, greenmoneytree.org has won numerous awards, among them the foundation Scandinavian Institute Green Prize. We have also recieved several nominations to presitious awards as the Nordic Council Nature and Environment Prize and Svenska Dagbladets Environmental award for our work of offering free environmental tools for corporations and governmental organizations.
